The AirFi Box is a portable BYOD Inflight Entertainment System, offering an instant WiFi network for mobile devices, and a platform to access locally stored content. The AirFi Box is battery operated, lasts more than 20 hours on a single charge and can be operational in any environment. In case a larger area or aircraft needs to be covered, turning on multiple boxes will create a single (mesh) network, where the boxes are happily synchronising, and enabling e.g. multiplayer games.
The AirFi Platform is the software front-end on the AirFi Box and the (content) distribution system in the cloud. The platform offers standard modules and aim to monetise (shop, magazines, video’s), inform or entertain (chat, games, timeline). The flexibility of the platform allows airlines and 3rd parties to create custom apps and digital forms and deploy new content daily.
Standard content is offered by AirFi World’s ever-growing network of content partners. Games, video’s, destination information, newspapers, magazines, news feeds, sports, puzzles, ancillary sales are offered in many different languages. Your own content can be uploaded through different channels (content portal, FTP server or directly into our cloud solution). Updated on a daily or monthly basis, the AirFi distribution system updates content and apps seamless on every Box that connects to the Internet at recharging time.
AirFi Connected Crew is an innovative, patented technological platform for onboard Sales, Digital Crew processes, and Crew communications utilising iPads and other tablets or smart devices while on the ground or inflight. Our customers have doubled their Onboard Sales bottom line just be using the controls this solution offers.

Purpose of the role:
In this role you’ll support different projects (worldwide) and you are the spider in the web between the Customer Success Managers and the Content Partners. Once the deal has been made by the Commercial team/Customer Success Manager you are in charge of the selection of the external content packages (movies, video games, magazines, books and all other entertainment). For every new client you will present a superior selection of content based on the customers needs and wishes.
Next to this you’ll review the success of a content package based on data analytics and look for potential content packages and work closely with the COO.
The Manager Media Entertainment & Contracts will be based in The Netherlands and will be reporting to VP Customer Success and Delivery. Content is KING!! And you will have to ensure the kingdom increases both in size and quality.
You will be responsible for the new clients as well as existing clients. Once a new relationship has been established you will create an offer with our media partners. Therefore, you will be in contact with all external Content Partners in various categories (Movies, Music, Games, Books, Destinations etc). Once the client agrees you will confirm this with the Content Partners and you will prepare the complete package. You will maintain smooth internal communication with your colleagues such as the Customer Success Manager and software developers as well as the external Content Partners.
Besides that, you will keep track of all the existing contracts with the suppliers and clients to make sure they are valid for the agreed period and you will make sure contracts are renewed when necessary. Therefore, you are someone who has an eye for detail and works very precisely and accurately. The CSM’s are responsible for the renewal of the customer content contracts, however you are their backup and reminder. In short, your accountabilities are;
- Coordinate several projects and create interesting and profitable entertainment packages;
- Liaise with content suppliers
- Manage existing contracts with supplier and clients and signal renew before termination
- Ensure the quality of the displayed content and content operations
- Signal potential content opportunities based on analysis and customer requests
- Report content revenue vs costs analysis
- Report trends in passenger content usage
- Keep track of market development in the area of digital content; videogames, movies and entertainment
- Process alignment between all parties
What are we looking for: Skills and competencies
- Bachelor Degree and min. 2 years of work experience in related field (media/communication/entertainment), with a special interest in finance
- Knowledge of digital content (video, games, music etc.)
- Experience in IFE business is a plus
- Awareness of the IFE market and its keys players will be a plus point
- Knowledge of the digital content market (e.g. game providers etc) is a plus
- Microsoft Office expert
- Eye for detail, hands on experience and proactive in nature
- Excellent proficiency in English, verbal & written
