AirFi announces Eli Atiya joins board as Chief Operating Officer

AirFi, the market-leading provider of portable digital onboard platforms, hires Eli Atiya to its management board in the position of COO.


  • With AirFi technologies now being deployed on over 700 aircraft across 55 airlines worldwide and expanding fast into the rail and coach sectors, Eli Atiya, takes charge of the key leadership role for the company’s operations.
  • Eli has held senior management positions at two of the leading Tier 1 suppliers into the IFE marketplace – Rockwell and Panasonic – and has an extensive track record leading operational teams.
  • Eli starts March 1st and will be based in AirFi’s new bespoke corporate headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands with oversight of the Global Delivery, Customer Success teams and the company’s European and Indian based Technical and Development teams.

March 1, 2018 – THE HAGUE:  AirFi, the market-leading provider of portable onboard digital platforms, today announced it has filled another key board position, hiring Eli Atiya, 55, in the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Eli starts today, based in the company’s new, bespoke corporate headquarters in The Hague with board level responsibility for the company’s Delivery, Customer Success (account management), Technical and Development teams across its growing global footprint.

Eli has spent nearly twenty years in the inflight entertainment (IFE) industry in various management roles at Hughes, Rockwell Collins and Panasonic Avionics. Having also held the COO position at a global logistics corporation in the Netherlands and as Managing Director of a fleet management organisation, Eli brings a wide range of operational excellence experience to the company as it moves into a phase of fast scale-up.
